I re-made the glaze using bentonite and in the second firing, the end result is much as promised although very subtle and hard to photograph.Very close to a tenmouku.

mocha and chocca Cone 10 experiments
I found a glaze recipe (no image) which promised "interestingly shaped chocolate brown matt crystals dispersed through a deep rich metallic brown glaze...not unlike a dark handmade paper with confetti-like bits in it." I mistakenly used 4% ball clay instead of bentonite and got a mochachino result which was interesting and possibly has potential if I don't overload the glaze. Dipping is better than pouring!

I re-made the glaze using bentonite and in the second firing, the end result is much as promised although very subtle and hard to photograph.Very close to a tenmouku.
