studies
These are painted interpretations for my first 3 stopped bottles (2nd series). The images are very literal but once the pots receive their second glaze (Colin's chrome) all over, hopefully the decoration should melt and be "just there". However, when I come to glaze, I may not follow the full plan. Sometimes the best application is when you are in front of the pot.

Love them. Looks like a visual diary is handy. My ceramics diaries are just lined notebooks full of notes about recipes and temperatures etc ... ever more smeared and dotted with clay.
